Pelorus Lodge ~Tim and Carrol Smith
There is a glorious 180 degree panorama view of Te Hoiere,
Head of the Pelorus Sound from most vantage points in this
stunning hillside garden. Purposeful plants of native,
ferns, flaxes grasses and trees, a haven for birds, blending
harmoniously with surrounding natural bush.
The Garden of Terry and Jude Delaney
Jude and Terry's is a Sounds garden with a difference, started
from scratch in 1995 with a stream Manuka, Kanuka, Willows
and land used as a logging site. The majority of trees,
shrubs and ferns have been found locally or seeded on the
property. Truckloads of stone have been brought in from
Cullensville for the pond and landscaping. The stream is
a focal point for hidden areas and walks.
Te Mahia ~ Jann and Trevor Hook
Jann and Trevor Hook invite you to share in some of the magic
of Te Mahia nestled in one of the most beautiful bays in
the Kenepuru Sound. This historic property with its original
building dating back to the late 1800s offers our visitors
a glimpse of gardens from days gone by with majestic phoenix
palms, graceful tanekaha, handsome karaka and emerging
golden totara and rimu trees. As you meander down the shingled
pathways you will be delighted with the enchantment of
the cottage style rose gardens.
